It is unfortunate that the bed is an object few architects have considered to address. This thoughtfully designed bed incorporates an aesthetic marriage between Japanese and American cultures. The geometry of the quilted headboard is echoed in the checkered veneer footboard. Integral wood side rails connect the headboard and footboard. Checkered veneer pattern on footboard can be use in place of upholstered headboard. A companion night table is a logical choice for an ensemble grouping.
